- work closely with major insurance providers
While each individual's experience with vein disease may vary, they commonly share one condition: chronic venous insufficiency (CVI). CVI occurs when your leg veins don’t allow blood to flow back up to your heart. The result is symptoms such as leg pain, varicose veins, spider veins, restless legs, cramps, skin changes, leg and foot swelling, leg ulcers, blood clots, and other leg discomfort.
CVR is here to help. Call us at (240) 512-4577 to learn more.
Treatment types include:

Varithena
Medicine is administered into the affected vein, which then collapses. Blood is redirected to healthier vessels nearby.

Ultrasound-Guided Foam Sclerotherapy
A foam medicine (called a sclerosant) is injected into the diseased vein, which helps to close the vein so blood can flow through healthy veins nearby.

Visual Sclerotherapy
For spider veins close to the skin’s surface. A sclerosant medicine is injected into the veins to help veins close and be reabsorbed into the body.

VenaSeal
A thin catheter delivers medical glue to the vein’s interior, which seals the vein shut and helps direct blood into other healthier vessels.

Radiofrequency Ablation
Harmless radio waves are used to heat specific areas of the affected vein, allowing it to close. The safety and effectiveness of this method have been well documented with long-term data.

Laser Ablation
A laser fiber is gently inserted through the skin to deliver heat to the vein walls, causing the vein to close. Laser ablation can treat small segments of refluxing veins with a high degree of success.

Ambulatory Phlebectomy
The bulging vein is removed through tiny incisions that require nothing more than a band-aid to heal. The body reroutes the blood supply using healthier veins.
