Brent Greenberg, MD, DABVLM, FAAFP, RPhS, comes to the Center for Vein Restoration in partnership with Carolina Vein Specialists. This alliance benefits patients across North Carolina by bringing Dr. Greenberg’s years of experience helping to resolve leg pain, heaviness, aching, throbbing, cramping, restless legs, and unsightly varicose veins caused by venous insufficiency (vein disease).

Dr. Greenberg is a diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, is board-certified in family medicine, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice.

An author of articles in several medical journals, Dr. Greenberg, has regularly appeared on the San Diego Fox News Show “The Morning House Call.” He lectures on vein disease at medical conferences.

Mark Featherston, MD, DABVLM, joined the Center for Vein Restoration (CVR) through a partnership with Carolina Vein Specialists, with locations in Greensboro and Winston-Salem, North Carolina. By joining these practices, patients experiencing venous insufficiency (vein disease) symptoms are better served. These symptoms include leg pain, swelling, achiness, restless legs, slow-healing wounds of the lower leg, and bulging varicose veins.

After practicing primary care medicine in Greensboro for ten years, Dr. Featherston focused on specializing in vein care. He completed a fellowship in phlebology (vein disease) and later became a regional medical director in the field. His responsibilities included training and supervising physicians, nurses, and ultrasonographers in the latest techniques for diagnosing and treating vein disease.

Dr. Featherston was in the first class of physicians to pass the certification exam offered by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine (ABVLM). The ABVLM was established to maintain the highest standards to improve the quality of patient care related to the treatment of vein disease.
